Your first listing in 10 minutes
A checklist for listing your x402 API or MCP server, matched to the checks the marketplace runs.
Before you start (2 minutes)
- Your endpoint answers an unpaid call with HTTP 402 and a quote (an accepts list with a payTo). Try it: curl -i https://your-host/your/path. If it answers 200, the x402 middleware isn't on that route. For an MCP server: it answers an MCP initialize over streamable HTTP (a 401 key wall is fine).
- The price is $1 per call or less. Above that we can't list it: most x402 wallets refuse bigger payments.
- It's https, on a host you run, and it takes USDC.
- You can publish a small file on that host at /.well-known/aayat-verify.txt. It proves the endpoint is yours.
The form (5 minutes)
- Open your pre-filled link, or /sell → List your tool. If you came from an invitation, the URL, name and description are filled in already: check them.
- Name and description: say the job it does ("French company lookup by SIREN"), in plain words. Promotional wording ("guaranteed returns", "risk-free") is held for a person, because seller text appears on our public pages.
- If your tool touches people, say exactly what it returns ("company officers from the official register", not "people data"). Anything that looks like people search (profiles, email or phone finders, followers) is held for a person, and tools that profile private individuals aren't listed at all.
- Usage terms: answer honestly (resale, caching, AI training, credit, personal data, commercial use). Anything left untouched stays at the most restrictive setting. "Resale: yes" also lets Aayat AI sell your tool to our prepaid-credit customers from mid-October; you can opt out any time.
- Tick the terms box and press Check and submit. If something's wrong, you're told exactly what to fix.
Right after you submit (3 minutes)
- Bookmark your status page (/marketplace/listing/<id>): it shows every check as it happens.
- Publish the ownership token it shows: create https://your-host/.well-known/aayat-verify.txt containing exactly "aayat-ai-verify <your listing id>". We look for it every hour.
What happens next (nothing to do)

If you see "held for a person", nothing is wrong: something matched a rule, and a person looks at it, usually within a working day. If your uptime drops after listing, the listing pauses by itself after 6 failed checks in a row and comes back after 6 good ones.
