Which one to use
- Everyday currencies, and past dates: the ECB rates ($0.002) give the European Central Bank's official euro reference rates for about 30 currencies, converted to any base (GBP, USD, EUR and more), for today or any date back to 1999. Good for invoices, reports and month-end.
- Crypto: the crypto converter ($0.001) converts BTC, ETH, SOL, USDC and hundreds more against USD, GBP, EUR and 150+ currencies, and cross-checks the rate against a second exchange, showing the gap.
Reading the numbers
ECB rates are published once each working day (around 16:00 Central European Time) and are reference rates, not rates you can trade at. For a date without a rate (a weekend), the last published rate is used.
Crypto rates are indicative mid-market prices, and the exchange you use will add its own spread and fees. This is information, not financial advice.
